The security forces in Manipur recently recovered some internet devices with arms and ammunition that had 'Starlink' logo on them during a raid in the Imphal East district.

What Did Security Forces Find In Manipur?The Spear Corps of the Indian Army had shared photos of the items seized including internet devices along with arms and ammunition on X. In their post they mentioned, "Acting on specific intelligence, troops of #IndianArmy and #AssamRifles formations under #SpearCorps carried out joint search operations in the hill and valley regions in the districts of Churachandpur, Chandel, Imphal East and Kagpokpi in #Manipur, in close coordination with @manipur_police and other security forces and recovered 29 weapons comprising of snipers, automatic weapons, rifles, pistols, country made mortars, single barrel rifles, grenades, ammunition and war like stores."
Some social media users quickly noted that one of the devices had a "Starlink logo" on it. The raid took place in Keirao Khunou in Imphal East district.

The recovery of the Starlink-like device has also prompted agencies to investigate how the equipment found its way to the strife-torn state, officials told PTI.

Elon Musk's ResponseAn X user pointing to the logo, posted, "@Starlink is being used by terrorists. Hope, Elon @elonmusk looks into it and help control misuse of this technology."
To that, Elon Musk replied, "This is false. Starlink satellite beams are turned off over India."
Musk's Starlinkslotsdreamer, which provides satellite internet services, does not have a licence to operate in India.
