MANILA, Philippines — Rainy Christmas Day will prevail in Luzon due to the shear line and northeast monsoon or “amihan,” the state weather bureau said on Wednesday.
In the 4 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the shear line will dump rains in Southern Luzon while most parts of Luzon will experience rain due to the northeast monsoon.

Aurelio also noted that no low pressure area or tropical cyclone is developing inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility and in parts of the Pacific Ocean.

(The rest of the country will experience slightly fair weather where partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms are possible.)
