Right ahead of the Delhi Assembly Elections, an aggressive poster war erupted between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in a bid to sway public opinion.

The development came amid an intensifying feud between the two parties where AAP recently accused the BJP of voter deletions and cash distribution to buy votes and in return BJP slammed AAP over alleged vote rigging.

PR Sreejesh also said that he will continue to contribute to the sport and strive to help the country become a hockey superpower.

Japan also began their campaign with a 5-5 draw against Korea but has since struggled to secure a win. They lost their second game 5-1 to India and followed that with a 2-1 defeat against Pakistan.

BJP vs AAP: The poster war

On Thursday, January 2, the BJP shared a poster of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that multiple fraudulent voter entries, ranging from ages 40 to 80, were registered at a single address without the homeowner's knowledge. BJP described this as "a new game by Kejriwal to rig votes."

AAP countered the accusation with a video poster of Kejriwal being labelled as "GOAT" (Greatest of All Time).

Kejriwal yesterday also accused the BJP of hypocrisy, claiming that while the party opposes honorariums for religious leaders, it simultaneously pushes for temple demolitions.

On December 31, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of using religious symbolism for electoral gains. The party shared a poster of Kejriwal on social media calling him a ‘Chunavi Hindu’.

This comes in response to Kejriwal’s latest scheme – “Pujari Granthi Samman Rashi Scheme” – a proposal that promises Rs 18,000 per month to temple priests (pujaris) and gurdwara granthis.

The Delhi BJP mocked the AAP supremo in a series of posts on X. The arty released a poster of him dressed in a theatrical priest-like avatar, reminiscent of actor Rajpal Yadav’s character in the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The image showed Kejriwal adorned with rudraksha beads, flower garlands, and vermilion on his forehead, with incense sticks tucked behind his ear, in what the BJP described as a staged, election-time display of religiosity.

“Mandir jana hai bas mere liye ek chalaava, pujariyon ka samman bas mera chunavi dikhava, sanatan dharma ka maine humesha mazak banaya,” the poster read. ("Visiting temples for me is a cunning guise, respect for priests is an election façade, I’ve always ridiculed Sanatana Dharma.")

AAP slams BJP over targeting 'Purvanchali' voters

AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday accused the BJP of attempting to delete the names of Purvanchali residents from the voter list in Delhi and said the saffron party was targeting "our Purvanchali brothers, calling them Bangladeshis and Rohingyas".

Purvanchalis are people from eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar who have been settled in Delhi for decades and form a significant portion of the city's voters.

"The BJP is targeting our Purvanchali brothers, calling them Bangladeshis and Rohingyas and working to delete their votes. I will not stay silent. I will fight this injustice on the streets and in Parliament", Singh said.

"In Shahdara alone, 11,000 Purvanchali votes were targeted for deletion. Similarly, in Janakpuri, 24 BJP workers applied for the removal of 4,874 votes, and in Tughlakabad, applications were made to delete 594 votes," he further added.

Kejriwal approaches RSS chief over BJP's 'wrongdoings'

2025 kickstarted with a bitter politcal exchange between the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in a letter to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat accused the BJP of voter deletions and cash distribution ahead of Delhi Assembly election.
