Ousmane Dembele sealed the win for the French champions in the second minute of stoppage time after PSG had created 27 chances, nine of which were on target, without breaking the deadlock.

After 91 minutes and 28 seconds, Dembele scored the latest winning goal in the Trophee des Champions since Alex in August 2013, also with PSG against Bordeaux (94 minutes and 30 seconds, 2-1 victory).

They created 3.24 expected goals over the 90 minutes and also hit the woodwork as they had six 'big' chances and 46 touches in the opposition box.

PSG won a record-extending 13th Trophee des Champions, having faced last season's Ligue 1 runners-up Monaco after winning both the league and the Coupe de France.

"Winning a title is always a source of joy," Luis Enrique added.

"Starting 2025 this way, in an almost full stadium, with a lot of Parisian supporters in it... it gives us confidence, it's important for morale, and we have to enjoy it before thinking about the future.

"With the game idea that we have and the profile of our players, we must continue to grow as a team, to improve in any situation."

After a goalless first quarter, Korea struck just 36 seconds into the second quarter with Jungjun Lee finding the net due to a mistake from Pakistan goalkeeper Abdullah Ishtiyaq Khan. The goal remained the difference between the two teams till the half-time.
